The Britannia Support Society, in partnership with the Variety Club, purchased a 24 passenger bus in June, 2016 to be used by Britannia Secondary, HUB elementary schools and HUB Service agencies.

The dinner again Will be held at the Sheraton Wall Center on Friday, April 13 2018.
We are hoping that you can join us for dinner $250 per person or $2500 for a table of ten.
We are also looking for silent auction items such as thought starters, hotel stays, restaurant meals, sporting events, wine-liquor, gift baskets, experiences, services etc. The list can go on.

BSS Gala Poster 2018Elaine Lee (Chiew) and Annie Choi, alumni from 1977, presented cheques to Andrew Schofield, Principal of Brit and to Mike Evans, President of Britannia Support Society to help Brit students realize their dreams and to realize their potential. The Class of ’77 40th Reunion was a tremendous success! So much so that grads decided, what the hell, let’s have a 41st reunion as well. Stay tuned!
In Toronto this past summer, eight Indigenous students and one staff member represented Team BC at the North American Indigenous Games. Kobe McKnight, Marlon Edgar-Apps and Karalee Antoine competed in the U19 Basketball while Jaiden Terry played U16 Lacrosse. Malia Terry and Kristen Branget won bronze for their U19 Lacrosse team while Tiana Sacco, Margaret Dixon and Coach Mitra Tshan brought home silver in U16 Basketball competition. Our Indigenous students represented both their Nations, Team BC and Britannia Secondary well in competition.
Our Britannia students represented Canada and British Columbia well in major international competitions this past summer. Alex Hansen paddled for Team Canada at the 2017 World Nations Dragon Boat Championships in Divonne-less-Bains, France and brought home 10 medals! He competed on both the U16 and U18 Canadian national teams reaching the podium in every single race with 5 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals.
Here is a medal summary of Alex Hanson’s fantastic performance at the World Junior Dragon Boat Championships this past summer in France.
Ivy Liao was the lone Canadian female on the Canadian Table Tennis team to advance to the quarterfinals in the girls’ singles event at the Pan Am Junior Championships in Buenos Aires while placing third overall in team events. Ivy also competed in the Spanish Junior Open, Polish Junior Open and the World Table Championships in Germany.
Shemaiah Abatayo and Surprise Munie were key players on the U15 Provincial Team that finished fourth at the Canadian Basketball Nationals in Regina.
In Toronto, eight students and one staff represented Team BC at the North American Indigenous Games.

The 8th Annual Alumni Golf and Dinner was held on September 9, 2017. Many endured a rainy day on the course, but everyone enjoyed the fantastic dinner and social afterwards.
